第一部4k分辨率开源动画

2011年2月下旬，开源电影又迎来了一个新的里程碑：4k分辨率（4096×2160的像素）的电影“Sintel”在www.xiph.org与公众正式见面。你可以从该网站进行下载，不过这个视频文件比普通的大得多，差不多160GB呢！从2月25日开始16bits版本可以下载，但这个版本则高达650GB。
Sintel讲述的是一个吉普赛女孩寻找自己的宠物飞龙的故事。Sintel立项于2009年5月，由Blender基金会赞助，历时14个月，所有完成的工程文件会在稍后的日子里面由官网放出，供全球爱好者下载学习，这是继2006年的基金会赞助的《大象之梦》之后的又一部开源大作。
I improved the dithering pattern a tiny bit, this time I rotate the dithering pattern each frame, so there is a tiny temporal component in the dithering. This should improve stills a bit, but since there are no real stills with banding in this short, I don't think it will make a huge difference.
Also to encoders, if you download this and want to create 1080p or 720p version of it, the dithering is reduced when you scale the image down. So its better to encode the dithered versions in their native resolution.
Keep in mind, this is without sound and for encoding purposes only.
