◎简　　介
     横刀（徐锦江）、名剑（林青霞）和笑三少（刘德华）是三个齐名江湖的武林高手，但因志向有别，三人走上不同的路，横刀投身朝廷，名剑与笑三少则为争天下第一相约决斗。

　　  笑三少被帮内叛徒诬陷曾深夜入宫奸杀皇妃偷盗宝剑，被不明真相的横刀和四大护卫追捕，为洗清冤屈，笑三少开始同情人蝶舞一起走上躲避追捕、查证实情的征途。历经千难万险，笑三少终于查出名剑之嫂彩衣为保名剑天下第一，倚仗其独特的武技，借诈死七年的“名流花”教主燕敦煌之手和朝廷、横刀及他抗争。计谋失败后，暗恋名剑的彩衣自刎身亡，但在临死前，却依旧惦念著名剑与笑三少决斗的事。
